I love the way this necklace turned out. I was actually waiting on some chain I had ordered to arrive in the mail, so I strung the Pearls on ribbon to see what it would look like and thought it added a fun touch!

Earring Giveaway

It's SOOO beautiful out today! We've been so sun deprived here in Louisville so far this year, it's really nice to walk outside without an umbrella. The word is the nice weather is suppose to stick around most of this week which is awesome because it's Tyler's spring break.

My Kentucky Oaks Dress and Hat

I found this dress and just fell in love with the colors so I created the hat to bring out the great orange.

Kentucky Derby Festivals, GO BABY GO!!!

So, this is my favorite time of year! I just love when it starts to turn warm, we actually have some sunshine and everywhere you look you see a beautifully decorated hat just waiting for the perfect head! The Kentucky Derby Festivals kick off Saturday, April 12 with Thunder Over Louisville which is the most amazing air and fireworks show in the world. Young and old unite from morning to night to see the shows and celebrate being a Louisvillian.

My favorite part is the Kentucky Oaks which takes place Derby Eve. The event is the first Friday in May, which is May 2nd this year and I'm just too excited. I have my dress, hat and jewelry all ready, which I'll be posting pictures of soon.

I still need my shoes, so I'll be shopping for the perfect pair of brown shoes. They should be comfortable, I know, but of course there is a price to pay for fashion, right? Two years ago I wore the most impractacle pair of shoes and my friend, Cody, had to pick me up off the ground about 20 times! Just in case you didn't know, either, mint juleps, heels and well-lotioned feet do not mix. Ouch. Lol.
